Trattoria Latte di Luna

Excellent food! Everything was perfection. Pasta is perfectly cooked, homemade and al dente. We had the large garlic clove with tomato sauce (pici pasta and garlic are regional specialties) The roasted pork was perfection!! Boiled and then fried potatoes delicious too. We always order several items and share, the Italian family way. Desserts excellent too. Especially the chocolate flourless cake with mint ice cream. Really busy here so make a reservation.

We had lunch at this charming family-owned restaurant, "Trattoria," on April 29, 2024, during our visit to the picturesque village of Pienza. As a group of four discerning Italians, we have high standards for food and are naturally skeptical about dining in touristy spots.Our experience exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by Ludovica. The food was absolutely exceptional, and the entire staff was incredibly friendly, hospitable, and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend indulging in the exquisite bruschetta with fegatelli, as well as the delectable gnocchi with cheese and truffle, crowned with delightful slices of truffle. To our delight, they even served us a complimentary half portion of "pici all'aglione," insisting that we try it. The pricing was also more than fair.We are already looking forward to returning!

One of my favorite spots in all of Italy. My husband & I planned our 10 year wedding anniversary trip around this place bc that’s how good it is.The staff always make us feel like we’ve returned home and the food is made with love.You cannot go wrong with anything here.We’ve frequented many times and never had a bad dish.A couple of our staples are the lasagna & the pork.If you are able to get in here for a meal, consider yourself blessed.We are looking forward to returning soon.Grazie!

LOVED THIS TRATTORIA! Ludovica and Family are fabulous! Location was romantic and situated in a stunning little piazza. Drinks were amazing but the food was just scrumptious!!! This is a place I keep returning to whenever I’m in the area and I recommend it for everyone to eat here at least once. Food is always amazing. It’s a family run business and you can feel their hospitality and how everything is homemade. Pici is always my go to, and spicy tomato and garlic sauce is to die for. Last time we tried roast duck for the first time, and it was so delicious Can’t wait to go there again and try new dishes!Oh and desserts, mud cake with pear, pistachio pie… you just can’t get enough!

Hand down the best place we've eaten during our 30 day honeymoon trip. The aglione pici was fantastic and the tagliata di Manzo with porcini was out of this world. True Italian food made by a nonna, you cannot ask for more!

Food is amazing here and nice atmosphere on outdoor terrace. We ordered lasagna and wine. Also pecorino cheese. Everything was delicious. Waiter is very friendly, gave us suggestions and stopped me when I wanted to order to much. Really good and nice place. Love it and recommend!

Latte di Luna has been our favorite stop in Pienza for about 20 years. The food is amazing Specialties are Maialino da latte arrosto and PICI with choice of sauce. I've tried them all and can't decide on a favorite. The service is warm and friendly ! It's a family bussiness so we remember our Hostess since se was a toddler. Now I think she's in charge while the owner her Dad (Roberto) and mom run the kitchen. She does an amazing job. We always return when in Italy ! This place is a magnet for us and many others that visit regularly.
